Chapter 11: Audiovisual Technologies

I feel that Audio and video Technology can be used in the class room such as audio Recordings like mp3s. Teachers have the ability to record lectures for students and providing a different style of learning. This is a great way for students who learn better from hearing things than from getting information from a textbook. Video can also be used in the class room great examples are videos such as dvds and vhs tapes that allow students to hear and see different view points on a topic. Another tool is the Document camera it allows students to get a closer look at documents and other objects as well. A benefit of using a Document camera would be that instead of having thirty copies of an assignment sheet you could have one copy and have it projected so it could potentially  save on the cost of printing.

Chapter 6 Digital Technology in the class Room

I feel that Digital Technology should be used in the class room. I support this because Technology can be beneficial if used properly. There are ways to protect students with filtering and more education about the dangers than new Technology can have. Also with the use of Technology teachers have a new way to present information to the students and it allows students to get more information.

All About me

I am Patrick Wallingford I am majoring in Middle Childhood Education. The two subjects i am focusing on are history and social studies. I am a sophomore and this is my first year Majoring In Middle Childhood Education because I switched majors at the end of last from Music Education with focus on Choral. An interesting fact about myself is that i have played the trumpet for over nine years.
